That was some whack as hell logic all over that there Doctor Who finale, wasn’t it?
And hello to anyone who happens to be dropping by from my guest strip at Guilded Age, I like you. You smell good. Let’s be friends!
Also, I may have a thing or two to announce in the next few weeks, so stay tuned? I’m gonna go watch Supernatural now because presidential debates are depressing.

Btw, it seems we both suffer similarly. Vitamin B12 and vitamin D supplements help with daily maintenance, and for really bad spikes try St. John’s Wort (pill or tea formats are available at pharmacies & health food stores respectively) as a relief.. taken before bed seems to work best. Be careful, coz if you have ragweed (I think) allergies, you may be allergic to St. John’s Wort.
These are suggestions to try before talking to your doctor about a referral to a psychiatrist who would be qualified to prescribe a (possibly heavier) medication particular to your brain chemistry. (Has nothing to do with “crazy,” so ignore your usual social expectation.)
Too bad your health care system is still in its infancy. The Canadian system isn’t as good as most European ones, but it’s good enough for us to fight for.
DO talk to your doctor though. You don’t have to suffer this alone. If your doctor tells you “it’s a phase etc” switch doctors. Immediately. Seriously. Get a second opinion. Go to a walk-in. Check out helplines and centres. They will have better, more up-to-date info than most GPs and should be able to direct you.
Also, see if you can find out if others in your family have similar bouts. This sort of thing is genetic. (My dad’s parents both suffered badly and he got both barrels and passed ‘em onto me.) If it’s someone who’s still around you can ask them directly how (if) they deal with it and go from there, maybe even help each other.
I’m sorry. This is extremely personal and I am making an awfully big assumption that this might be welcomed by you. Especially in such a public medium. I also feel weird about exposing my own vulnerability. Gah!
Good luck! I am currently trying to follow this advice myself… Hate this paralysis of fear… it makes no sense.
