So in case you’ve been living under a rock, WE JUST THREW A DAMN ROBOT AT MARS! YEEHAW!!
It’s cool, but I can’t help but feel bad poor Curiosity‘s just gonna get left up there to die. I’ve got this whole scenario played out in my head where Curiosity stumbles over the ruins of Spirit and takes shelter from a violent dust storm in a cave and meets a still-functioning and pissed-off Opportunity.
Ghostbucket: Where even the space exploration robots get depressed and develop abandonment issues.

Well…Now I’m feeling sad. Thanks, Joe.
My pleasure.
It’s like Wall-E. But more depressing. And with no sexy fembot.
I’m reminded of the song “Space Robot 5″ by Brave Saint Saturn. It’s all about how a robot gets shot into space because it can’t feel, cry or die like a human. (Spoiler alert: IT TOTALLY DOES!)
oh god I was thinking about that song the whole time I was working on this man.
Hey, man! Cool comic. I really dig the palette and the textures you chose!
Haha thanks. Didn’t turn out very Mars-y though.
BTW – I know EXACTLY what you mean with “art block”. I go through these waves where it seems like I’ve forgotten how to draw and it scares me. A lot. That’s when I have to take a step back and look at the stuff that inspires me and even look at my old stuff and see how far I’ve come. Happens to everybody, and it’s a great opportunity to evaluate.
I dunno, I got “Mars” right away.
This strip is gorgeous. Great work!
oh gosh, thank you.
Yeah I cried. A lot.
